Ontario’s regions are based on area codes: ON North Area Codes 807, 249, 705; and ON GTA Area Codes 905, 416, 647, 289, 365 and 437.

Regional Coordinators are responsible for a number of tasks including: answering inquiries from people in regards to placing dogs, adopting dogs, and general questions about the process; arranging to have dogs coming into the program assessed; arranging foster care for dogs coming into the program; arranging veterinary services for dogs in the program; screening potential adopters; visiting dogs being surrendered; arranging for transfers; keeping in touch with new adopters; collecting donations; submitting expense claims; and reporting to the National Coordinator.

Most of the work is done via internet/email.

Yes, it sounds like a lot of work because it is but every time you hear from a family that adopted a Weim from you … all of the work and stress and worry is forgotten.

If you’ve been thinking about helping, have reasonable organization skills and love Weimaraners, this may be the perfect opportunity for you!

The Weimaraner Association of Canada Rescue is lucky to have amazing volunteers, but we can always use more.

L’Association des Braques de Weimar du Canada Secours à la chance d’avoir des bénévoles extraordinaires, mais nous pouvons toujours en avoir davantage.

Volunteering is a great way to show your support. You can help with transport, public education, meeting applicants, assessing dogs entering the program or fostering.

Le bénévolat est un excellent moyen de montrer votre soutien. Vous pouvez aider avec les transports, l’éducation publique, les rencontres avec les candidats, l’évaluation des chiens entrant dans le programme d’adoption ou en famille d’accueil.
